Born and raised in Toronto, Natasha completed her yoga teacher training at the age of 25 under the guidance of Ron Reid and Diane Bruni at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre. Upon graduation in 2004, she continued to regularly assist the senior teachers and Ron in the Mysore room (with encouraged support of props and modifications from the Ashtanga Primary series) and eventually became one of the youngest teachers at the studio. She began studying under Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty (Founders of Yoga Works, LA) in 2003 and continued yearly trainings with Chuck for over 12 years. Her teaching is rooted with a simplistic consistency which allows her to illuminate her students observation skills and heart felt compassion for the journey that is practice. She is passionate about safe and sustainable anatomical movement. With nearly 10,000 teaching hours, she graduated to training teachers for 889 Yoga and independent practitioners in Toronto in 2012. She strongly believes that intelligent movement, stability and the willingness to explore our body and mind can help cultivate acceptance thats spills off the mat and into our lives.
Natasha specializes in teaching her “Anatomy of Asana” 12-20 hour module of a YTT program. She also leads 1-3 day workshops rooted in anatomy for teachers continued education and is an invested mentor for practitioners looking to establish a sustainable empowered self practice.
